01

How the service developed

SMARTY arrived in 2017 as a digital mobile brand associated with Three. Its SIM-focused service has its own dashboard, conditions and customer assistance.

02

SIMs, monthly service and prepaid use

Its rolling SIM products renew according to their product terms. Confirm the renewal date and payment setting, especially for a second SIM used only occasionally. Data-only products should not be mistaken for normal voice subscriptions.

03

Features, eSIM and account tools

SMARTY supports eSIM and publishes replacement-SIM instructions in its dashboard. Existing customers can request a change from physical SIM through the official account route.

04

Travel and overseas use

Use SMARTY’s own roaming guide rather than assuming every Three inclusion transfers across. Fair-use limits and destination eligibility remain product-specific.

05

A practical view of suitability

Check the calling features you need on your exact handset. Good outdoor data reception and reliable indoor voice service are related but different questions.

06

Coverage: make it personal

For SMARTY, start with the official checker and the locations where you need calls and data. Look for an outage before attributing a sudden change to the plan. Building construction, terrain, congestion and handset capability all affect the experience. A prediction of coverage cannot guarantee reception in every room.

07

Understand a bill before changing service

On a SMARTY account, establish which charges belong to regular service and which arise from additional use or another agreement. Compare the dates, renewal settings and any device component. We do not label a bill high or low without knowing the obligations and usage behind it. Only the account provider can inspect or amend those records.

08

Keep your number or leave the service

If moving a SMARTY number to a different provider, read the PAC process before cancelling. A valid transfer does not remove an outstanding device balance or other contractual obligation. If staying with the same provider, ask whether an internal change rather than a PAC is required. Our switching fieldnote explains the general routes.

09

What to confirm before deciding

Write down your required data use, local reception, travel needs and preferred support channel. Then compare them with the actual SMARTY document for your account type. Check benefit expiry, renewal and cancellation conditions. Avoid using a historic advert as proof of present eligibility.
